American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE) recognized Dr. Sufian A. Khondker as one of the 500 founding Diplomates of the Academy for his outstanding contributions in the field of Water Resources Engineering. AAWRE congratulated and thanked each of the Founding 500 Diplomates of the Academy. These individuals exemplify and embody the very best in the broad field of water resources engineering; from academia, public service, and private practice. AAWRE celebrate these outstanding leaders that have made significant contributions to the field of water resources engineering and leading by example in furthering AAWRE’s mission to improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the profession of water resources engineering.
AAWRE President Dr. P. Kay Whitlock, PE, D. WRE, and Environmental Water Resources Institute (EWRI) President Dr. Udai P. Singh jointly awarded the “Diplomat, Water Resources Engineers (D.WRE)” certificate to Dr. Sufian A. Khondker, PE, D.WRE, F. ASCE at the World Environmental & Water Resources Congress 2010 held in Providence, Rhode Island on May 16-20, 2010.
Dr. Khondker is the founding President of American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers and Architects (AABEA) Tristate Chapter.
